Lobaria pulmonaria

One of the lichens most sensitive to atmospheric pollution and alterations in the forest environment.

It is becoming increasingly rare and an experiment in cuttings and replanting is underway in England.

It is found in homeopathy under the name of “Stricta pulmonaria”, used to treat infections of the ENT sphere, but also in certain behavioral disorders.

It is used as a drink under the name of “crapaudine” in Brittany and “thé des Vosges” in the Vosges.

It allows the production of a brown dye.
