The Mezenc
An ancient volcano shared between Ardèche and Haute Loire, it is the highest peak in the region with its altitude of 1753 m. It is located on the watershed (Mediterranean - Atlantic). To reach its summit, a true lichen museum, you have to cross coniferous forests, home to many species of mushrooms.

Discovery of lichens (hike to the summit). A multitude of species color the volcanic rocks of the scree slopes, we can observe lichens that are only found in the regions of the far north. (you need to bring good shoes)
During the mushroom season (September - November), discovery of mushrooms and lichens in their natural environment.
